  Did the flood happen?

  so we were talking about noah for our family worship tonight and it ended with a little debate between me and my parents about how the flood was possible.

  you know, where did the water come from, how did all the animals fit, etc.

  of course it led nowhere and my parents came up with some strange theories like that there was "an expanse of water in the sky" and that's where all the water came from.

  We must remember when reading about the flood in the bible what was their understanding of dry land or earth at that time,, before there were science, telescopes, Columbus discovery North America.

  They certainly had no idea about gravity: up was up and down was down the stars were floating on a big circular dome. Galileo discovery that the earth was revolving around the sun which lead to Inquisition trail from the rulling Church was still yet 2000 years future.

  So when it says the water overwelmed the highest mountain they weren't talking about MT Everest, they simply were making shit up and had no idea what the earth really was (definitely not a globe floating in space),, but dry land was all they thought it was and used their imagination to fill in the blanks of their understanding.

  I'm glad the GB are going to have to face some wake up calls for their bad behavior. I wonder what the Legal department at Bethel will have to educate the GB on in order to get thru to these GB jerkoffs to start straightening out their act before they sink the whole corporation due to their shear stupidity.

  The Commission has done nothing wrong. Parliament (as it is constitutionally entitled to do) has changed the law which the Commission has to follow. The revised law clearly states that it is no longer automatically the case that religious activity alone can be considered charitable - there must also be Public Benefit from those activities.

  Looks like a loss of status in the UK for the WT is assured. WT message of doom and isolation from the world that is soon to be destroyed according to their message as well as shunning members oughta cost them big time.

  Their treatment of members who have devoted themselves to slave labor for the corporation and then let go without any warning and give them nothing substantial to live on and help them get back on their feet financially should be reviewed too, and a good look at what is happening in Spain and WT will definitely help the Judges to see how utterly worthless this corporation is as far as public benefit is concerned.

Ego is highly inflated which makes him prone to serious flaws in making decisions for a corporation and makes him the equivilent of a blind man leading the blind.

  some become christians of various sorts, others tend toward patriotism as a kind of rejection of the anti-patriotic stance of the watchtower, while yet more simply affirm in general the secular values of mainstream society.

  Yes they must be thinking of selling these in the future but the money used is making these idiotic things will make the sell date happen quicker and many project won't be totally complete which will mean more loss of money, which will make them a true nonprofit in every sense of the word.
